Christopher Correia | Student Representative

Christopher Correia is a recent graduate of UMBC, where he earned a B.S. in Biology. While there, he led the pre-dental organization, which focused on teaching students about dentistry, promoting oral health on campus, and volunteering. He also founded the Global Brigades Dental Program chapter which collaborated with the medical program to open two temporary health clinics in rural Panama, providing much needed care to over a thousand patients. Currently a dental assistant, Christopher plans to attend dental school in the near future. This is his second year on the board as the student representative where he is eager to learn as much as possible about public health. Having been impacted at a young age by the lack of dental care access and education, he strongly believes in the importance of MDAC in providing others with the opportunity to live healthy lives.
